Other parts, for example, the bark have been used as a yellow dye. CAS# 56-81-5, 7732-18-5, 8053-39-2, 122-99-6. INCI Name: Aesculus hippocastanum (horse chestnut) seed extract. Use: Add to formulas as is, typical use level 5 - 10%. For external use only. Properties: Horse Chestnut extract has anti-inflammatory and astringent properties and can be found in salves for varicose veins, body wraps for cellulite but also in facial toners, cleansers and moisturizers for anti-blotchiness. Applications: Creams and Lotions for the legs, body wraps, face cleansers, toners and moisturizers, masks and gels.
