This is 80% more elemental iodine than what's found in popular glycerin-based iodine formulas which contain 269 mg of total iodine per bottle according to their labels. Original Nascent Iodine is created using the divinely-inspired Edgar Cayce method of adding energy to diatomic iodine in order to create monatomic "nascent" iodine. While all sources of dietary iodine are beneficial, Original Nascent Iodine has the smallest drops and lowest surface tension of any iodine product we've tested so far. One ml of liquid contains sixty-four drops, meaning it has roughly one-third the surface tension of everyday water. In liquids, lower surface tension is generally equated with easier assimilation.
